If you want to get to know the island of Fuerteventura during your stay in Lanzarote, we propose a one-day visit in which you can enjoy some of the beautiful spots on the island of Fuerteventura.

What is special about this route is that you visit several protected natural areas on the neighbouring island and some emblematic localities, such as the village of Betancuria. Upon your arrival at Corralejo, you will walk to the BetancuriaCountry Park where you can visit the Island’s former capital, the village of Betancuria, which still preserves the traditional architecture of Fuerteventura.

You will then walk to the reservoir of Las Peñitas, a site of special beauty that will transport you to the typical landscape of the oases of Northern Africa. Here you will follow a route on foot for around 5 km where, if you are lucky, you will see several species of birds.

The next stop will be the coast of Ajui, where you can visit the oldest geological site in the Canary Islands, with rocks emerging that were formed during the opening of the Atlantic Ocean around 100 million years ago,as well as several caves located in the cliffs.

You will then head for the villages of Pájara and Antigua and from here to the Dunas de Corralejo Nature Park, where you can enjoy this site surrounded by dunes, some of which are more than 10 metres in height, and spectacular beaches. You will then return to Corralejo to take the boat back to Lanzarote.

This visit includes: sea and land transport and picnic.
